Mason county blacktail

We decided to hunt close to home this year, so that meant I needed to use a shotgun or my bow. My wife and I just happened to be at the local gun shop just before season and he had a mossberg 500 slugster with a 4x32 scope on it. So on Friday my wife and I were out hunting and we came across this guy at about 60 yards but he wasn't presnting my wife with a shot she felt comfortable with so she passed. As he was disappearing into the timber line I spotted a 3 point standing broad side but she couldn't get on him fast enough. So early on Saturday we got into our blind and about 2 hours later this guy comes by with a doe and her 2 yearlings. My wife handed me the gun and said you take him. I was a little excited and pulled my first shot and he bolted left but the doe went to the right, he only took a few steps and turned a 180 and he was not going to leave that doe so he came right back. She didn't go very far so he came back at about 75 yards and got him there. This would of been my wife's first buck but we still have a few days left so we'll see....and for the fashion police we did take off our orange for the photos.

I see you got a tractor in there if I am seeing that bucket correctly in the pic. That must of helped out a ton. Those big BT's are hard to find in daylight hours this time of year.
