I measure bucks by pounds, not inches.  He sure looks to be over my 100 pound minimum from the pictures you had.

Yeah but people don't apply for those quality hunts just to kill meat bucks.

He's definitely over your minimum two times   :chuckle:

Put a stalk on a buck last night in the last hour, wider than the two point pictured! Running does made a mile stalk as fast as we could to get on him but gave us the slip but bumped a 170 class four point about 26 wide, beatiful buck but one year too young, hopefully he matures for someone else or gets taken this year! This guy stood around for a picture..

I'd say that buck is 150- 160.  Not a lot on the g3 but the G2's are long, mains and spread credit are decent and g4 is ok.  I would shoot it:-)

Bingo....it was 157 and change 27 7/8" wide.  It is hands down the biggest deer I have killed and is a beauty.  The mass is actually pretty nice with large narly eye guards.  I look at it and then think about a 170" buck....I would poo my pants at a chance to kill a 170" buck.

I think the 170+ inch bucks are few and far between.

170+ bucks are few are far between that's for sure, especially in this state a true trophy... Nice buck by the way...bump that 170 to 190 and I figure maybe 4:1000 (bucks)... My general season buck this year, excited to see what the next two weeks brings to my father!

That is a dandy buck....how wide and what does that score?  I only ask because we have thrown numbers around.  It really wouldn't matter to me cause it is a beauty and would die any day if I had a tag.

27.5 wide I believe and haven't thrown a tape on him but probably 165 to 170, good frame just bad fronts

I would guess your spot on with 165-170. Mains are the killer, but regardless an awesome buck. With a general tag, no way I'd pass. Congrats

Enjoying this thread...
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

I missed a 170 plus inch mule deer this year in Lincoln county, WA. :bash: But they are hard to come by. Haven't seen a deer that big in about 5 years before that opportunity. Mule deer don't get that big by being dumb, they are very smart animals. That was the biggest deer I've ever shot at by far. It was a real blessing to even see him, let alone get an opportunity. That's why we call it hunting, it isn't easy. Hope this guy gets his 190, but I sure wouldn't pass a good 160 and up. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS!

The full moon hurts no doubt. The clear weather should be good for some photo ops though, where's a few to hold us over?  :chuckle:

Well most bucks have been bedded on the shady sides and looking into the sun doesn't offer great photo ops but this guy almost went home with my dad, crummy pic but had amazing fronts and decent backs not a huge frame

Yeah, I'm afraid my trigger finger would have twitched and I'd have notched that tag... :)
