I'm torn between that one and a LEM.  Solve the mystery for me!

Started making sausage last spring.  I visit websites for sausage and many folks have pics of the LEM, but I have never seen the Dakotah until now. :twocents:

I would not recommend the Dakota stuffer. Used one for a few years. Still have it in a shed somewhere.

You will scrape your knuckles filling it with meat and you will get water everywhere.

Similar to the one in the video that was linked. But mine was not clear plastic. I was able to make passable sausage most of the time, but it was always a mess with water everywhere and even water getting into the meat around the rings. It was a pain to clean and even more of a pain to drain and fill with meat.

Hmmm... well... I am going to look at rigging it with air... that may solve at least one of the probs you describe. Im wondering if a little sandpaper around the edges will keep from scraping/cutting hands while stuffing....

I use a variety depending on what I am making and where I am making it. I use a hand stuffer, small Waring grinder, or our large Hobart grinder. I have also used a couple different Cabela's grinders.

Hmmm like the concept and they make it look so easy. I just use a grizzley 5lb vertical since I don't do mass amounts in one session. Would like to hear more real life reviews when ya get it going  ;)
Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.
