Keep them rolling... No school yesterday so I was able to check a few sets. Everything had a 1/4-1/2" ice over it, hints why no school. Pulled this guy. Furs really starting to fluff up.

Otter are starting to pick up and stack up in the fur shed! These grissly buggers are as plentiful in parts of AK as beaver are in Western WA.

Luv this thread every year

I love hunting and fishing but trapping takes the cake for me. Love spending time in the woods in the winter. We have less than 5 hrs of light right now up here so you have to be very intentional with your time. Pic of the sun setting in the woods and a reset I made after that silver tonight with a 1/16x19 camloc snare ;)
love that top pic

Hit my marten sets way up high and it was a desent day. Got a few good snares in on a pretty good sized bait pile as well. Not many marten around this year. Snow is still super patchy and max 4". Strange year but the fur is out there.

Not a lot moved in the last couple days but I managed a flying squirrel and a least weasel. They are tiny little guys. Lol. Jaws on my 1 3/4 coil were bigger than him lol.

Great day in the woods of Washington! Down visiting my dad for a couple weeks with my family so I took him out and set half dozen cat sets today in the NE corner.

Well after a week of hitting the bobcat line with my dad we ended up with a lot of miles on the rig and no cats. Found some amazing area and cant wait until I'm here full time to hit it hard. Tomorrow well enjoy just getting out and chasing yotes. Also looking forward to getting home and tagging a few more fox.

So my trapline in AK is back under way and reset. Hopefully start pulling critters again soon. Had another mouse in my classroom today so I made a bunch of loaded 80 lb mono snares. They are on the upper wall lip so they will hopefully fall off and dangle lol. Kids love it ;)
