Wood Stove Recommendation

I still havent decided and am looking for a little more advice.
10x14 canvas tent
$500 max budget for a complete stove package.
Doubt I will ever have to pack this in, will always be camped and set up by the vehicle.
Will cook on it for heating water but 90% of the cooking will be done outside of the tent, to keep smells down inside.

All will do the trick.  Personally I would go with the one that allows me to put a larger piece of wood into it  (largest door).

I have the three dog and have been very happy with it, but I have no experience at all with the others.  It does exactly what it is supposed to do and is built to last a lifetime.  The guy seems to really know his stuff and it has all of the options that I needed.  I have the two side trays which are great for cooking but unnecessary if you don't cook.  I would absolutely buy another one again.

If you aren't packing it in, I would not buy a lightweight stove as you would be sacrificing performance.  the middle one is also the round style which seems like it won't hold as much wood.  If you want to stay warm at night, buy the one that is large and heavy.  I stuff in every piece I can physically fit before going to bed at night.  From the three you linked to, the 3dog seems to be the best fit for your needs.

We have Kwik Kamps in our tents and my buddy bought a 4-dog this fall.

I just looked at that Kni-co stove. We have one like that in our eating tent. That thing is a

Made from sheetmetal,it gets hot in a hurry,and gets cold just as fast.

It works ok for our situation because we only heat the tent while we're eating in it.

You'll be up every two hours stoking it,and will burn a lot of wood.

If your not packing it in. Check out Joes stoves. Awesome guy. Awesome product. Well within your price range. We bought 1 for my Brother in laws tent. Got the water heater with it. Took us a bit to get it figured out as we are tent stove newbies. But once we did it worked great. Excellent craftsmanship, and he can modify, or build about anything you want. I highly recomend him!

55 gal drum stove. only way to go. add your own copper tubeing and fittings goin inside fire box and out and your good to go for h20. not including tank. 2 dampers help and stoke it as high as you want. more wood the better. better being warm than freezeing.itll last all night. no more new guy stokes fire!

Go to bravo tents, John has what you need I have a 14 x 16 and I have a Yukon cylinder stove with the warming tray and 5 gallon hot water tank and it kicks arse...

have you looked into cylinder stoves? we have had one for five or six years now and no complaints. typically we still have coals in it in the morning so not much kindling needed.

Kwik Kamp stove are awesome.  We have two.  You can literally shut the fire off if you want.  Turn it down and wake up 8 hours later with a wood stove full of wood.

   Been using the same cylinder stove for 20 years. Never used a kwik camp but I see them at the nw sportsmans show; they look bombproof to me.
