I hit 3 in two years, two of which ran into the fender of my truck. Front bumper quard really wouldn't have helped much. I was skeptical, but I bought an electronic deer whistler, and it sure seems to be helping. I haven't hit one now in the three years I've had it and I drive a lot in the Hunters/Cedonia area where deer on the road are a constant problem. Whistler seems to send them running away from the noise and one side effect is turkeys gobble back like crazy to it. Electronic ones work at any speed, whereas the usual ones are wind activated and only work well when you're driving at a fairly high speed. Only cost around $30.00 and install in minutes. Might try one before you pop a lot of money into a bumper guard.
