I am looking for a place in Whatcom county to take my brother duck hunting before he deploys to the middle east. He is only in town until the 3rd. I have always been the hunter in the family and am super excited that he is interested, he just got a shotgun and this would be his first real duck hunt. I have been trying all week to find ducks for him. Normally we hunt our neighbors property, but the owner passed away and her children frown upon hunting. Since I now live and go to school in Sourthern California I have not been able to scout like I should have. So far I took him to the “quality sites” up in Lynden off of Harskell road. We only saw 3 ducks and didn’t get a shot off. We tried two other properties and got a few buffalo’s out at Slater road. I understand this is a last minute post, but if anyone has some advice or any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. I would love to get him on some ducks before his deployment.
