I've had god luck with Simmons for cheap scopes that work well and so far have never failed me.

How cheap? I'd recommend the Redfield Revolution 3-9x40. It's American made and Cabelas has a $30 rebate on it right now, so with that it would be $170. The rebate ends December 31st though, so you'd need to order it today.

I put Barska scopes on all my airguns.  I've had good luck with them, and they are CHEAP!
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

Happy New Year.

I would recommend decent rings and bases--you don't want loose tolerances and groups going left and right.

Burris Reddfield Leuopold Nikon Vortex in any order are good all the way down to their cheapest scopes,   simmons, bushnell, tasco bottom level scopes in the same price range 150-200 are trash.in my opinion

Never had a problem with my 3-9x40 Tasco World Class scope. Looks good, works wonderfully in the cold humid weather.

Go to Midway.com, click on "Clearance items", click on "Show other categories", click on "Optics" and pick out a good one. I bought two $150 Weaver 3-10X 44mm scopes for less than half price ($75).

For what it's worth, the phrase "Buy nice or buy twice" is the best advice I've ever heard as regards rifle scopes...or anything else, for that matter. Consider it "The Eleventh Commandment" as regards any purchases you intend to make. As an addendum, I'd also say that, if a scope doesn't carry an unlimited (and transferable) lifetime warranty, walk (and, in some cases, run) away from it - no matter how good the price looks. There are great "inexpensive" scopes out there that fit this bill of particulars. Buy one and you'll not be sorry you did.

Made by Burris...Good stuff.
Nikon ProStaff is pretty solid with great optics and around $100 if you shop carefully.

I just got a 3-10x40 cabelas alaskan guide scope on clearance for $67.00, which is a screaming deal retail was $199.00 I think. I went in intending to buy a nikkon pro staff but they were sold out, I had checked these out and they had good customer reviews(4.3 out of 5 average). The quality seems to be outstanding I'm going to shoot it tomorrow.
