Heading over tomorrow afternoon to hunt with the boys at Eagle Lakes! never been there before but if its anything like Pauls Ponds its sure to be a blast!

You should do good.  All the groups have been limiting out.  I believe they shot 20 limits of ducks yesterday.

Yea I would say your in for a good time I hunt some property next to where eagle lakes hunt and there are a lot of birds! Good luck

I would like to know how you did as well.  Jan 3 - 4 should have been a really tuff weekend.  I know they can keep most of their ponds open but it had been well below freezing for several days in a row by then.

Yea the temps were very low and all the ducks had left for the river, we split up into 3 groups of 2 and managed to get 20 but not a single mallard!  The goose action however was CRAZY! 4 of us went out in the afternoon and got 14 and if we would have stayed til dark we would have limited but had to bail early to get home for some stuff. they were trying to land on us while we were picking up the dekes!
