Long Bow
« on: December 24, 2008, 04:24:54 PM »
Not that I'm a great archer, or bow hunter. I've got a compound and love it. But I want to "try" to shoot a phasant, so I'm looking for a long bow, a good one. Anyone got an idea where to start. I hope my shorthairs will put up with this.

Good luck shooting pheasants with a longbow. That should be tough if they are in the air.

There is also another bowyer here by the name of Ernie and his bows are neat looking http://sapphirearchery.com

Ditto the above information.  I personally shoot the Sapphire hawk, so wouldn't hesitate to endorse them.  I am about to own my second.  I also have heard nothing but good things about Jay and his bows.  Great resources right here in this family.
