Caught a domestic dog on a foot hold and drag setup

If anything she probably learned a few things

Even though this was her own doing it's actually a good thing if done in a controlled way.  This is a hunting dog and if she gets tangled up in old barb wire, illegal snare or trap or whatever I want her to wait for me not struggle.  I'll untangle her better than she can struggle her way free.  Less injury if she learns to wait for me.

I agree the photo should be put back up.  It was cute, and a good example of why we own dogs... they put a smile on our face.  But I don't blame you for taking it down either. 

Personally.... I prefer body gripping traps with bigger/heavier drag objects when I go after domestic dogs....

I used my kennel as a drag once on my dog and it ran across the entire campground with it chasing it. He was scared to death why the big white thing was chasing him

I would agree with that.  We had a beagle growing up and he would chase rabbits till the sun went down long after we had enough.  We would always here him though baying (sp?) away.  One day he just stopped a we couldn't here him.  We went searching up and down trails and roads in our snowmobiles stopping every 100 yards shutting down and calling him.  We heard him on one stop just whimpering very softly.  Found him caught in a wolf snare.  He wasn't struggling but he was lucky we went looking for him because he was off the road 50 yards in and couldn't be seen from the road.  We had to cut him out.  Lesson learned for sure for him too.  Oh almost forgot to say this was 30 some odd years ago and in Minnesota.

The key to catching domestic animals appears to be the bungee cord.  Use it to keep a gate or a kennel door open and it seems the animals are just attracted to it and it will catch them every time.
