Is this a Single-six?
« on: January 19, 2015, 09:43:25 PM »
Is this a Ruger singer six? Or just a Ruger 17hmr? Reason I'm asking I'm wanting to see if I can buy the 17M2 cylinder for it. If anyone know the answer is love to hear it. Thanks!

Doesn't look like it according to the serial number list.

Here is the link, the photo is crappy.

That's a new model single six. Available in .22lr, .22wmr and .17hmr.

No .17m2.

I've never tried but I think there's more to it than just buying another cylinder for them too. Sonething about timing and stuff. Not sure. Just seems I've been told that as part of a threat/warning to not lose the extra cylinders I have.

Single Six, for sure. You might be able to buy a solid cylinder and have it worked to make it a 17 Mach 2.

I've never seen a 17 mach 2 cylinder, but some say they exsist.

They exist. I have a friend that has one.  Myself, I just stuck to a Taurus Tracker in 17HMR for trapping and am happy.
