Reloading for a 300wsm
«

I have a model 70 300wsm that I am reloading for. I have reloaded for it in the past but want to switch it up to see if I can get better accuracy. I want to try 180gr Accubonds and I have 3 different powder to choose from. I have some IMR4350, IMR4831, and H4831. I dont have a problem going and getting different powder to try, but I already have the ones listed. Lets hear what some of you guys are using and why. Thanks in advance for any info given!
PS, I have 100 cases that have never been fired. I also have CCI large rifle magnum and CCI BR2 large rifle primers.

I'm curious about this as well. I have a Tikka in the same caliber. I've been using store bought ammo the last couple years. Winchester Ballistic silvertip 180's. The gun has no problem shooting decent groups with them. When I got the gun it came with dies some brass and a pound of Vihtavuori N550. Previous owner said he was loading Nosler 180 ballistics with good results. Not something you'd want to hunt with though if you ask me.
I was considering trying the Vihtavuori with the accubonds myself. When time allows of course (hence the store bought ammo)
Guts what barrel length do you have?

I run 180g accubonds with IMR 4350 in my 300wsm tikka. They shoot very well. I ran the 190g bergers and they shot well but I think I am going back to the accubonds this year.

I've had good luck with h4350 and 180 ballistic tips, 180 partitions, and 165 partitions. My current load is with imr4350 and 165 Barnes ttsx.

I've got two of these. One likes 180gr. TSX with RL-19. The other shoots anything better than I can, but currently is shooting 190 Bergers with RL-17. Got excellent results also with 180gr TTSX and H4350.

I always like about 70 grains of H4831 and a CCI 250 primer with a 180 grain bullet in the 300 WSM.
For the heavier 200+ grain bullets I like IMR 7828ssc.

180 grain Accubonds w/ W760. Can't remember the grains of powder right now but it's hot. 5 holes touching at 100 yds. I get 3015 at the muzzle (via chrono) out of a Sako A7
