I have been to a place called Threat dynamics on several occasions. its an awesome place! I have only done the basic group on style packages where they basically take you through a little bit of everything. I haven't got to do any of their full length courses yet but from what I have done they have been great. They don't use live ammo but instead use real guns (Glock 17s or an AR15) that have been modified with lasers and CO2 (to simulate recoil). You fire at a screen that has actors and they play out different scenarios for you. nice part is you get to dabble in a little bit of everything, from home defense scenarios to active shooters. you can also where a taser belt if you like to sim if you get shot, just raises the pressure a bit. my wife really enjoyed it to and now shes hooked and wants to go back and do a full class. they also have one of the best live fire ranges I have ever been to. heres the web site.

http://www.threatdynamics.com/

prices are reasonable too.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Security Services NW. The owner Joe is a good guy, runs Fort Discovery up in Port Townsend. They do a bunch of civilian classes.  Should be a bunch of info on the web.
