Is this a buck or a doe?
«

I had just put this camera up last Sunday, on an elk trail, checked it and pulled it today, because in that location it's too likely that someone is going to walk off with it. I didn't get any elk, even though there were fresh tracks nearby, they just didn't happen to use the right trail. That's what I don't like about putting up cameras with no bait. But anyway, just got this one deer, and it looks pretty big. I think it's a doe but not sure since it could have already lost its antlers.

The 3rd pic looks like pedestals on it's head.

The 5th pic shows no buckly things hanging about her backside!
Unless he got neutered fearing fawn support.

Doe.. Usually even with no antlers you can tell by looking at the glands on the back legs.. Primarily they will be dark... Almost a blackish color...here's a shed out buck...

Thanks guys. I thought it was a doe too but thought it would be a fun guessing game. She looks pretty healthy!

Doe. I have 2 bucks so far I the Past 2 weeks since I put my cam back up with noticeable nubs on their heads. One is a first year antler growth and his just busted through skin the past couple days. Hopefully he will be a monster someday!
