I use a 30-06.  Want to buy a .270 to hunt with next year. 

In hunting anything shot placement is key!

.280rem does the trick. plus it rolls of the tongue better than .270.... haha!   :IBCOOL:

How about a .50 cal In-Line blackpowder with a 405 grain hollow Point powerbelt with 110 grains of powder??  I s that an effective load out to 100 yards?

I shoot 300wsm. but its all about shot placement not cal. bear can go a long ways when hit bad...

I usually try to poke them with a stick, but they usually don,t let me get that close. I also use a .33 win mag for back-up. Great caliber.
