With the slope and softness of the ground he is pretty well stuck. The soil up there is that loamy feeling decomposed granite. Your boots sink in 2" trying to walk it. It is also a long ways up to flat ground. Also heard that he crossed a USFS/DNR boundary and they don't want him back. He has good aggressive Coopers on there but there is nothing to grip. The terrain higher gets a bit worse before it gets better. One spot he came off a drop with 60 degree slope for about 10'. Tatered a rock and a pile of brush before he stopped. Amazingly his running gear is still intact and I could see no damage.

He came off the top thinking he could reach 97a I guess. My guess is once he broke over the first steep part it still looked good and by the time he realized he was in the stew it was too late.

If you were pushing a tire 12"+ wide with a lot of float and tread you *might* be able to climb out, but there would be a lot of ground damage and I still don't know if it is possible. Hard to describe how steep and soft it is up there.

A B3-Astar would be pretty close to fitting the bill. Especially if you stripped off the excess weight and did two or three lifts. It would take some work though. A B3-Astar runs about $2000/hr last I knew.
