I heard that mfswallace donated the tow truck so this thread could get flushed from the deer hunting files 

I also heard that Mr. Brandt is going to post a "thank you" letter to mfswallace plus an apology to the environmental police and that you can expect that to be posted in an Elk Hunting thread some time next week

Mr. Brandt would like me to pass on his regrets about this incident and to inform all of you that he doesn't care one iota about where this mini saga of a thread is posted but if he had a say, Fishing would be his choice. He says the 3000' of cable and the 4hr reel in was one of the hardest fought retrievals he has ever done. This is coming from a man who has landed a 879lb yellow fin off the coast of Maine in 2007. He realizes heels have been dug in, much like his tires in the soft hillside and although it doesn't make much sense for this thread to be in deer hunting when there more appropriate options he would point out that he did eventually manage to pull up from the depths of the Sea of Tears(enviro police created) his heaviest catch to date so still is optimistic this thread might make its way to fishing 🎣

  maybe a line a little further to the east and he should be fine. Plus I would let that hill dry out a little bit before trying again, maybe june-ish early July but be prepared for just a nice day drive cause the sheds will be gone by then.

 It's not that it's wet and needs to dry, it's like pea gravel. Would probably have better traction if it were wet and frozen.

They must not have let him try driving at all due to causing more damage by spinning the tires. Seems like they wouldn't have to which him the whole way and take so long. From the videos it looked like no one was even in the Jeep while it was being winched out.
