Montana Archery/Gen Season rules

If I purchase an Archery Only tag in Montana, can I still hunt the Rifle General Season if I'm not successful during Archery?

Yes...you buy the general season tag and archery endorsement.  The don't have an archery only season to my knowledge.  The archery endorsement is  $10.

There are no archery only tags.  There are archery only limited permits, but you still must have a general elk tag in order to hunt.  The general tag lets you hunt all general units, the archery only LE permit allows you to archery hunt certain districts that are not general hunt districts.

And yes, don't forget your archery stamp.
