Randy Newberg joins Extreme Elk Magazine editorial staff
« on: March 17, 2015, 12:11:59 PM »
We're excited to introduce Randy Newberg as the newest member of the Extreme Elk Magazine editorial family. Randy is the host of Fresh Tracks with Randy Newberg (Sportsman Channel), and is a wealth of elk hunting knowledge - particularly when it comes to public land, self-guided elk hunting. His first article in the Summer 2015 issue is titled "Get A Tag and Go Hunt!", and outlines several OTC and General elk hunting opportunities for both archers and rifle hunters.

"Each year, I need 10-12 tags for our TV show. It's not practical to expect my tag luck will produce that many limited entry hunts. I need to be dialed-in on over-the-counter (OTC) and general elk hunting opportunities as well, and each year, these tags represent a good portion of our hunts. Here are a few OTC and General tag options for archery and rifle hunting, as well as suggestions for increasing your chances of drawing a really good limited-entry tag in the near future.."

You can read the rest of Randy's article in the Summer issue and get dialed in for your elk hunt this fall. Subscribe or renew your subscription to Extreme Elk Magazine today. It'll be the best $20 you spend this year! http://extremeelkmagazine.com/

Many thanks,
Corey Jacobsen

It's always been a great magazine and is even better now.

Just placed my order. Great deal, comes with a free DVD. Has anyone seen "Uncommon Ground"?  There were a couple other choices, but that's the one I chose.

It's a good choice, Bob. The Born and Raised Outdoors guys make some cool videos.

I'll pick up the spring issue when it comes out to see if it is something I want to subscribe to.  Randy's show and hunting philosophy are something I really appreciate.
