Appreciate the reminder Pianoman!! I would've kept busy with other things...

Question because I'm too lazy/busy to look it up... do selected individuals need to specify Eastern or Western at any point/for any weapon or does this give you a state wide multi-weapon permit? I'm sure there's more information than posted here but again, feeling lazy today.

Thanks in advance

For elk it allows east AND west side, so no need to worry about choosing a side.

If you buy the app, you will automatically be submitted for the draw for the permit--no need to go online.  If you want points, you have to go online and actually change the option.

Sorry, app? As in native mobile app?

It's an application for the permit. (Not phone app)  You buy the application and if drawn, you have the option to buy a permit.  In the case of elk, if selected, you get to buy a permit and get a different tag that allows you to hunt all the different general seasons, both sides of the state and you can apply for elk special permits regardless of tag weapon/side of the state.

It is pretty easy to get one, only a few minutes on the WDFW website and they send it to your mailbox.  The only thing you can't get on their site are raffle tickets--have to get those at the store (due to online gambling rules).
