I was scouting in 204 Acouple summers ago and had a huge 6pt bull run right in front of me up Cumberland Mtn. That's not too terribly far from 101.

Yea that. I've seen some big boys in the east 204. Right on the border.

That's because Meyers Creek in Midway B.C., has a herd that comes over the border near Kinross Gold Mine.

I know of a couple areas that hold elk in 101 but they are in the east area of the unit and its not enough to waste my time

I've only seen 1 in 20 year and I was grouse hunting in Sept. It was a spike bull 20 yards away ran out in front of me and my dog. I was shocked to see him but I was not surprised because there was some sign.

I saw around 30 at one time a couple years ago.

That's cool. I have talked to some locals that had trail pic's of herds wintering around there private field/pond out in the woods. I did see a small herd in Kelly hill unit last spring and one cow off sand canyon road in 117 unit.

I went up there last year on our ATV's on a poker run, for the Honor Flight, to donate money, to get the old WW11 vets back to the War Memorial back east..... :tup:
