If anything you should have great weather. Upper 70's and blue skies.

On the rivers here we go 5 to 6ft min. Do your wedding rings have a trailer hook?

Give Skillet a PM....hes a walleye guy on a hunting site, so he's not your worst option.
Fixed it for you.  :chuckle:

I like a 4-5' leader for heavy worm harnesses in most places.  Really rocky or woody bottoms I shorten up and drop all the hardware - either go slow death or a smile blade and maybe a pill float if I really want to crawl along and keep it up off the bottom.

Might want to lighten up that rig by either replacing one of the stack beads with a pill float or swapping out the metal blade for a smile blade.  Those Wedding rings catch walleye for certain, but you gotta be moving along at a pretty good pace to keep it up off the bottom. If they want a slow presentation, though, you might be wishing you had a few options.  Also, as Woodchuck suggests, run a two hook rig if you can.

That's all I got.  :dunno:

I really wouldn't waste my time on it, if anything I'd go to Potholes and rent a boat for the day and fish.  I've seen some walleye caught at the Alder Fill but I wouldn't travel that far just to catch one or two walleye from that area.  If you do end up fishing it though, try to fish the tailout of the current of the actual spillway if there aren't people fishing there already.

It has been years since I fished for walleye - pike and musky but when I was a hardcore walleye fishermen this was my best go to lure ! It is called a Erie Dearie ...never tried it out here but a Walleye is a Walleye ...Just add a nightcrawler to the back of it ..the whole nightrawler ..and troll away .  you can run it fast or you can run it slow ..Fish on

Yup double whammy and I will be getting fresh crawlers when I get there. I do have down-riggers as well and an 8hp four-stroke pushing an 18ft Glasply, if I can't go slow enough guess I will toss a five gallon bucket behind! Thanks for the info hope to get these Scouts into some fish!

If you're bank fishing, be ready for combat fishing.  Shoulder to shoulder. It's going to be busy, good weather and good fishing.  Mark my words - you will be checked by WDFW.  Make sure you know where you are.  Crab Creek has different regulations than Moses Lake.  And don't think there's less fisherman at night than during the day.
Have fun and good luck.  Share your success pictures too.

There are a few times and places I'd try the ol' Erie Dearie out here, but for the most part our river/reservoir walleye in Washington are more structure-oriented.  Jigging, bladebaits and worm harnesses of various types behind bottombouncers account for most of our fish. Crankbaits get a fair number under the right conditions as well.

And what Brad said is spot on - if you're going to fish the spillway between Moses and Potholes, make sure you have legal gear and are ready for the crowd.  I did it once - never again.

And most importantly, If you catch one that is really fat, please release it. Most are spawned out but not all.
