My wife and I got a red lab from Morgan's Pointing Labs. They are up by Addy, WA. We got him as a pup last summer and so far are very happy.

I was just out there on teusday to check out their new pups. The mothers looked really good, the sire for 2 of the litters was there and he is a very handsome healthy athletic dog, loves to swim and retrieve. These guys really put a lot of passion into their breeding and you can tell by their dogs. I cant wait to pick up my pup here in a few weeks

Passion vs responsibility if you are a "breeder".....

Some folks are charging a lot, making false claims, inflating abilities, skipping health testing and breeding dogs with obvious traits the breed should not produce repeatedly.

Upsets me more people willing to pay good money don't do more research

Forgot to mention that they do all the health checks, hips, eyes, and have a health guarantee for all the pups they produce.

The only thing that I cant see that they dont test for are elbows. But they do guarantee their health for anything genetic.

Their first dam is still with them and she is 13. A good looking old girl too.

If you don't like the fact that they breed "red" labs then don't get one. But don't try and talk somebody out of getting what they want in a dog because you don't think it does the breed any good. The fact that the dog I am getting is red, and may or may not "point" is not why I am getting one. I am buying a quality lab, that just happens to be "red".

Seen a few with completely white chests. That isn't a common thing that comes up in Labs. I do know the Morgan brothers personally and have been around two of their breedings. Often elbows are tested then, simply not listed for some reason.  :dunno: But hey, if they don't test elbows at the same time as hips like every other lab breeder they don't do it?

and labs only point because they are scared of the birds..lol
