It's a gamble, if the snow doesn't come you don't have to worry about being able to hunt the private land, the elk will be on public land. If it does snow and bring'em down, you will need permission to hunt private land. It just depends on how many points you want to burn, and the odd's are not good with 10 points like others have said. I have 20 points for bull and I have around a 30% chance of being drawn, that is not that good considering I have 20 points. Either way, good luck in the draw.
If I had the multi elk tag this year I'd be trying to get a land owner over there to partner up with me and my 20 bull points. I'm just not sure I'd gamble my 20 points on the weather, of course I do have a snowmobile if the snow does come early and deep. This hunt last year would have been epic, that guy killed a monster with his muzzy.
Just looking for a decent draw for the regular bull tag with my multi season. Burned quality points with my last multi season three years ago so don't really have much of a shot at drawing another quality tag. You guys have any info on wetside bull tags? Or just any good general seasons on the wetside? Have places to stay in Rochester and clallam bay areas.
