I have always wanted to catch a ling and who does not love shrimp. We did a little trading awhile back and Ed invited me to do a trip with him. Ed was a amazing host and it was a blast hanging out with him and his son. We had a great time! In 3 days I think I ended up catching over 10 rock fish and 4 ling cod and 2 were legal size. We also ended up with limits of shrimp! The weather was amazing as well as the water. It was cool to see some new country in WA that I have never seen.

So thank you Ed and everyone enjoy the pic's.

Good eats right there,Lings in my opinion are better than halibut.Ed's a good guy,pm'd with him alot about the elusive king salmon. I spent the weekend fishing in Canada at the Sidney fishing derby,my alaska tactics were on fire.

HA, funny, I never even noticed the hat.   :chuckle:

Glad you had a good time, and actually caught some fish.  I think Matt caught more than 10 rockfish though, we even had three doubles.

I am sure I did to but I knew I caught at least 10 :chuckle: Those were some pretty sweet doubles. The rock fish are cool for sure and Ed caught some monsters!
