Mind me asking what you paid for it and where you bought it from?  I saw they had $100 off for mothers day if you purchased by the 10th.  I am torn between this one and the Rec Tec.  Have you had a chance to cook on it yet?  If so, what are your thoughts?  Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure out which one I want to pick up.

Bought a Jim Bowie 1 week ago, BIG MISTAKE, The issue  I have with it is I think I have put on about 10lbs eating all the delicious grub we have cooked. We have cooked every meal on it since we got it...

Mine has been used almost daily since i got it. Did some mose bacon burgers the other night... they were good. Also did a 2 lb moose roast... smoked for 6 hrs and finished a bit fast because i was hungry. It was rubbed with beef rub and i brushed on whiskey brownsugar pepper sauce as smoking.
I really like this thing.

For ribs, try the 3-2-1 method. Works outstanding on the Green Mountain. Also, the best and easiest pulled pork and brisket you can make.

One of the most simple and delicious things we have done was baked potato's. Wrapped in foil and poked holes wit ha fork all over them. They get just enough smoke and we freakin awesome. That said just about every peace of meat we have done has turned out great. YES even the COYOTE BACKSTRAP we ate this winter was done on the GMG and it was surprisingly delicious.
