They have leased a lot out. One of my favorite spots too.

My uncle had a late muzzle permit in there a couple years back with good success. I always enjoy hunting that unit still. Tho I'll have to find more areas there now...

They maybe moved the border since you were there last??? It's the river now so some of it is Grayback now. Some is leased, ect. Still land to hunt though.

I guess the question would be which unit, East or West?  I have hunted the West side for the for many years. Yes Hancock owns the land but they allow you to hunt on it.

The West Klickitat unit is going to be hard to find spots to hunt this year. SDS is closing their lands in a lot of areas and also making lands archery only. Kreps have all their lands posted now and leased out to an outfitter.

The SDS thing doesn't make any sense.  SDS land in the west klick is closed during archery almost every year due to fire danger.

They are only allowing archery equipment on some lands during all seasons. Not that its only going to be open during archery season. Basically making it a firearm restriction.

Signs are going up in Snowden and around Spring Creek. Plus a buddy that owns property next to SDS has been told by them.

Sounds like it's time for rifle hunters to buy a crossbow.

I could see them doing that as it's getting populated in those area's.  I'll have to ask some people I know who would be in the know about it.
