T/C top notch quality and accuracy. If looking for more then a plinker or a pure target then that would be the one. Find a Win 52 or an older Rem bolt and they will outshoot just about anything.

I'll second T/C. But if you want to spend some money you really should get an anshutz(sp?) I have one and it is a tack driver! It is a sporter with a match grade chamber.

My family uses ruger 10/22 and they seem to be pretty accurate for a 22. The rugers have a huge after market too.

Depends on what your after. Ruger10/22 pretty hard to beat. Good accuracy, great aftermarket options. There are more accurate out there but you have to justify the price tag. All said & done if your not competition shooting, the Ruger is my choice.

yeah, kinda depends on what your gonna use it for. i loooooooove my ruger 10/22 with 25rd banana clip, its been used and abused. but still wacks the sage rats from fare away. i have put alot of bullets through that barrel, and cleaned it very few times.... once it starts jamming after a brick or 2 of 500 rds then its time to clean, lol

I gotta agree with the 10/22; have had one since high school. Actually it was my brothers, but he kept leaving it laying outside or in the dirt so I took it away from him.

i've got 3 10/22's. one's got a anschutz stock, bull barrel, internal work and a nice scope and shoots one ragged hole at 25-50 yards. the factory guns shoot too. you can't go wrong for <$200.00 . if you want something a little more fancy, the ruger 77/22 is nice and kimber makes a real nice .22 also.
