Not only are they not required to be licensed, there is no such thing as a license for being a hunting guide. The only requirement for guiding other than the business license, would be permits for hunting public land. You can't guide on public land without a permit from the appropriate agency.

It's been hotly debated on here, as well as within the guiding community.

WA is one of the few states that do not require a hunting guide license, however I do think we will eventually see that change.
