I'm tryin to get my traps set out but I'm novice. What kinda things for bait? Trash fish? Also do you guys weigh down your traps and last question what type of water are you finding them in muddy, rocky?

Fresh bait only most any fish even carp. Put a fist sized rock in pot. Rocky bottoms softball sized rock and bigger. Good luck!

For me, I do well with  salmon heads I buy from the grocery store (usually $1 for one or two). I usually do my Crawdaddin on the Snake River in rocky areas, 4-8 ft deep. I don't weigh down my traps. I just tie my traps on shore around a rock or bush. I'm usually on a road side camp spot so my traps aren't unattended.

Hope it helps. I also got a lot of good info on www.terrybullard.com
