I went with the Slammer a month ago, Had a great day, and caught some very lings, and my limit of bass. You won't be disappointed.

Fished on the Slammer today and limited 17 fisherman on lings and rock fish. One guy got a 34 lb ling and I got a 23 lb. We kept fishing until after 3. We didn't get to the dock until after 5. He definitely worked hard for us. He has a couple things he does different than other captains that I think led to bigger lings. Hope you have a great time.

You can't go wrong with the Rhett he is a great skipper I have fished numerous times with him, and have never come home disappointed.

Personally I would avoid the Spindrift. If the engine isn't. Running when ya get on . Get off. 1 1/2 hours later got it fired up. Last boat out, first boat in. Last charter trip ever.

Was thinking about going on a bottom fishing charter with a few buddies in July for my b day but Freedom and Slammer are booked up. Any other good boats to look into? Thought about going out on the smaller twin outboard boats but I'm not paying 200+ bones to catch some bass and a Ling or two. Also have to find a boat that can fish two days in a row. With price of gas, lodging, and charter fees it simply wouldn't make sense to go all the way down for one day of fishing. Not into westport charter salmon fishing or combo trips. Thank you for any and all help

Try the Hula Girl or the Tornado with Westport Charters. Also, may want to give the Starfire a try, Freedom books trips for the Starfire.

I have also fished with the Fury and really liked it. They are in the same group as the Slammer.

Also, don't be concerned about doing 2 different boats on the same trip. I encourage it. It gives you a chance to see 2 different ways of how it can be done and meet 2 different captains.
