I have a Leer and like it. Used to not like trucks with canopies because of the looks but as I got older and wiser, my mindset changed.  :chuckle: A good canopy opens up tons of options for a truck

A.R.E.  other canopies get compared to it for a reason.

I have been researching canopies for a while now and decided on a snugtop or A.R.E. leaning towards the snugtop.

The last one was a Raider (will never do that again).  This time is a Snug Top.

Advice: Be sure to buy a canopy with a built in rain channel.  What is this?  Older style canopies have a hinge that runs the length of the rear window, and when you open the rear during a rain storm the water will drip into the bed of the truck.  With a rain channel, all of the water is directed outwards, and never enters the bed.  Snug Top has this, as does Leer (I believe, not sure).

A got a Leer last year and I'm happy with it. It was down to leer and ARE and I liked the leer dealer and went with it.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

If you had a 2002 body style RAM long bed...it would be the free canopy I have in storage!  Free canopies are always the best ones, aren't they? :chuckle:

I have a Leer and am pleased with it.  No problems so far but I've only had it on the truck for about 4 years.
