But no where to hunt them unless one crosses your path with your car!!

We had a spike a few years back run into our truck in the middle of the night and broke its neck, truck was parked in the driveway. Kind of hard to explain to the insurance co. Our place is near the primary school.

You guys live by the Elementary School then?? Ya that's kinda hard to explain. The deer out here are stupid and I really hope they start to do something about them soon...

Couple streets over from it, vacation place though we dont live there. You in that area?

There were two coyotes in the yard making breakfast out of it when we got up, I assume the deer didnt realize we pulled in late that night and was being chased (they like cutting through the driveway) by the coyotes. Local LE came by and finished it off since it was still kicking a bit. Whish I would have taken pics of my truck, I had to have one side of the bed replaced.

L.E didn't let you have the deer? Probably out of season but they are usually cool and let you have it if you cut some up for the food bank.

Here's a photo of one over by the beach.  There's a real giant that lives just south of the elementary school, but I've never had my camera when I've seen it.

There's a couple of dandys on the island a little further north towards the interpretive center/museum or whatever it is.  There's also a really good group of boys that always hang just before the bridge.

That's a well fed buck.  Look at the gut on him!  How old do you think he is?   4? 5?  6?

As big as that belly is, it might end up being the buck I was talking about.  It's been in the area south of the elementary school off of Mount Olympus everytime I or a friend has seen it.

It's fun watching the buck grow every year out here.  But the Ocean Shores rut is the best!   :)
