Gunsmith in the Gig Harbor/Tacoma area

I'm looking to have some rings lapped and scope mounted and bore sited on my model 700. I had a guy here in GH but he is in Nebraska now. Anyone know a good smith or hobbyist in the Gig Harbor and surrounding area that laps rings? I was referred to Frontier Guns in Eatonville but either the number I have is bad or nobody answers the phone and there is no voice mail. Thanks in advance.

 I don't thnik Gil at Frontier Guns in Eatonville is doing anything any more. Shop looks all closed and overgrown. Haven't seen him around town in a long while also.

why not take on the project yourself? Its relatively easy to do. Just need a lapping kit and a torque wrench. That way you can do them in the future also! Bore sighting is no big deal either. Just remove the bolt and look down the barrel at the target and without moving the gun put the crosshairs in the same spot. If you were in spokane id offer to meet you and help out.

  bore sighting is  easy on a bolt action. Lapping looks pretty simple.

Get Burris Signature rings, then there is no need to lap. The rest is easy. Bore site by resting the rifle on something and looking down the bore while adjusting the crosshairs. You can actually just do that the first time you take it to the range.

I have never lapped any rings on any of my stuff. Never had any issues either. Dont thik its really mecessary if you follow torque specs and buy quality rings.
