Had a visiter yesterday
«

This is the first deer I've seen since moving into our new house. There are a lot of coyotes out here so I haven't really seen any wild life except for birds. He looks nice and healthy so I'm sure the yotes are leaving him alone for now. Later in the day he was laying under a neighbors tree watching the cars go by. The spot he is eating in is going to be a garden in the future. Looks like I will be building a fence around it. Lol

He looks like he didn't miss any meals during the mild winter. How old do you think he is - 3?

He is really big and healthy. His body looks like he is 4 or 5 but his antlers look to be 2 to 3 . I'm not sure with blacktails, but 3 would be a good guess.

Agree, hard to tell. Maybe 4 or 5. For sure, he's going to be at least a 3 point.

My wife got woke up this morning by the dog barking. There were two bucks out by our fire pit. I wish she would have taken a pic, but at 4:45 there may not have been enough light. I had just left for work at 4:25 so I just missed them.

Sounds like you need a different job. Leaving for work at 4:45? I thought the Navy was bad!

I leave for work at 4:20 and start at 5:30. Good thing is I get off at 2:00. Gives me a lot of daylight after work. My wife said one of the bnucks was bigger than either on our wall. He must be a stud. I need to put out my trail cam. It's still packed from ouir move. I may need to buy some more.
