Long Beach cow elk rifle tag
« on: September 21, 2015, 08:47:36 PM »
looking for some help with info for November rifle hunt. My 90 year old grandfather drew this tag and I would really like to help him knock down his elk. If anyone has some help to offer I would really appreciate it.

I am just curious...
I always thought the whole unit was firearms restricted.  :dunno:
Is this a refuge hunt?
Might want to contact the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge, and see if they have some input.
There is a small DNR area that is accessible from the end of  Dohman Creek, but it is hit pretty hard by locals.

This is a new hunt this year and in the firearms restricted part of the regs they have a new description of the areas of 684 that are firearms restricted.

Thanks, I talked to a biologist and apparently the cranberry farmers are having an issue with them coming off the refuge and he said they don't want any elk in that unit. Hopefully we will be able to help with that!
