I usually delete my posts after two days.

I've never claimed to be a house painter or a mechanic...it always amazes me how many people want to claim to be a lawyer.

I recently moved to the coast.  Hunted 658 last Fall.  Saw a lot of elk, but no legal bulls.  Only a saw a few deer and took a (very) small buck.
There's quite a learning curve in my opinion, but I expect I'll improve with a few more seasons experience.
Don't know the area well enough to speak with authority, but it seems like there's probably game all through the unit.
Good luck!

I know lots and all kinds of spots.  If u tell me what u want i can probably tell u a spot thats Taylor fitted to ur needs.  I have my spots picked this season and it will b like that for a wile so i dont mind telling u good areas.  Do u want quality or quantity?. So like in other words say you have a group of 4 hunters in your hunting group do you want an area where 3 out of 4 will probably come back with spikes and two and mabe three point black tails or do you want a spot where only one of you is probably going to come back with a black tail but that black tail will be scoring like 140 or 150?  BTW a 140-150 is a huge black tail in my book.  Whats ur camp set up?.  Do u want to bike in on logging roads or walk.  Do u want short shots with a bow or 600yard shots with a rifle? What weapon?  Will u be with a older guy so u have to accommodate him or her?...ect. some of that land you're talking about is privately owned by timber companies and they don't let you on there unless you no a logger with a key or you get a permit some how. I hunted the Grays Harbor area last year it was okay for elk but not that good for deer but remember I'm new to the area so. Southwest Washington is the only place I don't know in Washington state.  I've hunted everywhere else so if u want info on that let me know.
