Ipad SD card reader

I have the Apple sd card reader/adapter and it does NOT work for transferring pictures from the SD card to the iPhone6.  It works great for the iPad mini though.  I'm not aware of any way to copy pics from an sd card directly to an iPhone.

However...  going forward I will probably use my microsoft surface for grabbing pics off of the cameras.  It was waaaaaayy faster for importing pics and I can import them to a specific folder which makes them a lot easier to organize when you have several cams.

For example, on one camera I had so many pics it was taking dang near 30 minutes for the iPad to pull them off, my buddy had his surface and he copied them off in under a minute!

I picked up a Samsung 8" tablet last week.  To it up and checked my cams last Sunday and it worked great fir viewing the pic, now I just have to learn to transfer them 

I'm not tech savvy. ..... 

The samsung tablet has expandable mem, micro SD slot

You have actually transferred pics from SD card to iPhone?  I have adapter and have read online that it is not possible and does not work for me..  Need more details if possible..

No, I haven't. I've only loaded pictures OFF of my iPhone onto the iPad and Macbook Air.

The adapter I bought is for transferring pictures off my iPhone, using a regular USB cord, onto a different brand laptop, if I remember right.

I'm still confused, so I'll lead you down the wrong path if you keep reading my posts. That might be a good thing...
