Fishing Brewster Pool
« on: July 12, 2015, 06:24:19 PM »
Can one be successful fishing from shore?  I will be over that way and I thought about bringing my long casting rod.

IF one can fish from shore can you provide me some pointers?

I wouldn't waste my time from shore there. Several hundred boats and zero shore fisherman. :twocents:

They do beach fish by well's dam.

Okanogan river dropped almost 10 degrees that could flush a bunch of them up river.

I just checked USGS site that shows 75 is the lowest so far and they will not go up until it goes below 70 I have heard.

If from shore use a slip bobber with double red hooks put pink coon shrimp on so it looks like the shrimp is alive not just bunched up on hooks.  About 4' leader with a line stop above bobber so an adjust depth you want shrimp to sit at.  shallower in morning getting deeper as later in morning.  This was working well above rocky reach last year from shore.  would assume above wells would work.
In a civilized and cultivated country, wild animals only continue to exist at all when preserved by sportsman. FDR

Remember, you can't fish above Wells to the Brewster bridge right now.  The OP asked if he could bank fish the Brewster pool.  Surely you can try, but literally nobody does because it isn't successful. :twocents:
