Western Washington Hunting Spots

Hey guys! New to this forum! Just trying to find some good spots for Blacktail Hunting for the fall. Shot my first 2 point last year in GMU 624, was about 20 yards, and walked right up on me during rifle season, dropped him in his tracks, good clean kill. Since then i have had buck fever to get another, and another year after year now. I plan on going back to where i went last year in hopes of finding another. But that was the only buck i saw when i did see him, i obviously killed him haha. Any areas that seem to harvest good numbers of blacktail without a permit in the western washington area would be much appreciated! Never had any luck in the Olympics either, might not be going to the right spots though. Any tips would be good! Thanks!

You can go on the WDFW website, look under "hunting", then find game management, then you can look at last years harvest by GMU and District

Realistically, one shooter blacktail a year is better than a sharp stick in the eye. You didn't mention how much time was required to see that buck. That area obviously has potential, and you may want to stick with it.
