We fished the west side of San Juan Island yesterday, despite NOAA's warning of 1-3 foot wind waves that didn't materialize - a 15 mile run in a 15' whaler into 1-3 foot waves is no bueno.  But the wind forecast on windfinder looked good, so we went for it and were rewarded with fantastic water conditions.  That's the third time in a row that the NOAA forecast didn't pan out.  Anyway....

Didn't see any chinook, although my six year old kid caught two clipped coho.  Filled out the remainder of our punch cards with plentiful pinks.  Several boats around us were throwing jigs and they appeared to be doing well, at least before the orcas and seiners showed up and the bite stopped.

NRA4LIFE  and I ran out Sun morning  south of shipwreck, banner day, many times double hookups, fish boated ,fish lost at the boat, and a number of long line releases, also had to release a dandy King at the side of the boat :bash: great day on the water with a good friend.

That was fun.  The last 15 minutes was as chaotic as I think I've ever seen humpy fishing.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

You guys are having all the fun.  The closest I got to a boat was to pick my wife up at the Anacortes ferry on Sunday.  I had some extra time so I went out to Washington park and chatted with a couple guys at the dock.  Sounded like it wasn't to bad for pinks up there.  While standing on the dock I had some woman walk up to me and start jumping down my throat about how my trailer "bumped" in line and cut off their boat...  She wasn't interested in hearing from me that my boat was parked and in a different county.   :chuckle:  Sheesh.

Has anyone ever hear of people fishing for them around the Everett area if so whats the best time of the year to fish it and what area would be good to try, I would really love to fish for these pinks but I don't have a boat so the area would have to be for bank fishing. PM me please I would really appriciate it.

The Snohomish River is your friend in the Everett area. There is bank access off Lowell-Larimer road as well as at, below, and above Snohomish.

They catch them off the shore at Picnic Point.  The best time is right now through about labor day.

Another good access point from the bank for pinks as well as silvers is off the beach at Posssion Point Bait Company. I believe they still let you fish there. Cal them up. Some fun times there fishing for silvers with live herring under a float.

They sell it there, at the bait company on Whidbey.

Lots of good fishing from shore.  I recommend lots of gear/jigs if you are fishing lower tides as there can a lot of snags.

Here is one of my old spots:

East of the launch on Lowell-Larimer, past the launch....there is a water spillway kinda thing. The pinks will come in when the tide is in and circle in that one area. Now, the mouth is lined with stumps so you don't want to be casting towards the river. There were paths that could put you on the bank. I've bonked a ton of humpies in that spot.

looks like you are in Wenatchee, when are you planning a trip over?, I could probably get you out in the salt, or I fished the Snohomish river for 30 years and I could show you some areas.....fish will be much better coming from the salt than when their running up that river.
