Anyone own one of these bad boys? I picked one up today for a killer deal and can't wait to put some rounds through her. There are some things about it I'm trying to work out. The gas plug is tight and I don't want to use a pliers to have to unscrew it.. Anyways I like the side charge feel, seems for clearing malfunctions and such it will be a lot easier.

Hope this works... Second picture the gas plug is where the charging handle of a normal AR would be.

Do you have a strap wrench? If not they are only like 20 for a decent cloth one.

I'll need to look into that for sure! Right now I was thinking of throwing some electrical tape on there when I go to take it apart. I like the side charge, but the field strip has a little more to it then the normal AR

Why do you need to remove that plug? 
Can't you with the bolt carrier in the forward position and weapon on safe just push to the side the front and rear takedown pins?
Remove upper from lower and then show us a picture of the plug from the bottom?

The bolt carrier group cannot come out of the weapon to be cleaned without removing the gas plug. That's what my issue is, it's a must do step to fully clean the firearm.

Ah ha!  Ok!  I understand now.

I've got it to where I can get it out by hand as long as I have a towel to hold it with.. Sucker is tight in there haha. There was no getting it out when it was brand new.
