Ya I like having it so close to home I wasn't thinking about buying a permit but was comparing that land compared to Hancock. Just seems like a crazy price difference for offering the same thing. I've also noticed a lot of people buy the pass and don't really hunt much. A guy I met a few days ago only hunts bear and not deer. I hardly ever go to the main kapowsin side the bridge gate is where I spend most of my time. I have a red Toyota Tacoma if you see me flag me down!

Not really a fair comparison- the IEP permits are unlimited in number whereas the Kapowsin ARE limited.

A limit on the number of access permits issued should theoretically make it worth more.

And this year Kapowsin isn't even sold out!

Was funny over the weekend was checking my cams. A truck cam up the road to me "secret spot" which isn't really secret... isn't that far removed from a main road. Guess I must have given them quite a look... they just backed back down the road. lol

where do you drive to? the buckley gate seems like it only lets you access that portion, which isn't very big.

Ya Buckley gate only lets you hit that area. My buddy liked it because it was any buck in there, and 2 point minimum everywhere else in kapowsin. However this year it is any buck everywhere. I wish it was still 2 point minimum though for future quality. Anyone else feel like that?

Take the main road for a while and there are plenty of off-shoots to poke around. It isn't big, but for me big enough. Have been stalking it all summer.

I've seen 31 deer in the last 2 days, only one 3 inch spike! I have a feeling tomorrow it's going to go down. My legs are sore. How has it been for you? I was thinking today man wonder how cowboy is doing in Buckley haha I was at Bridgate. I had a ton of activity in this small clear cut surrounded by tall reprod right when the sun hit it they were getting warm.

I passed on a small two point yesterday morning, and didn't have time to get set up on a nice 3pt with eye guards.  Went in today and only managed to see one doe from 1 til dark.  Mornings seem more active.

Have been sick the last 2 weeks or so. Not sure if I will make it out this late season. Was going to hit it Thursday and Friday, had arranged time off etc. But wasn't able to hit the field was way too sick. This weekend up for hunting but have other stuff to do :(
Going to try and clear the schedule and get out some Sunday.
Good luck everyone!

You kind of look familiar Crunchy, you didn't run into a blowdown fir tree before first light, on the main gate side, then decided on plan B did you?
