We had about 45 seconds of rain this morning.  It was heartbreaking that it didn't last 

I was considering a high hunt (deer) this year but it wouldn't be a very good year to reenter that fray.

Alpine Lakes should be okay to go into, and the Pasayten is looking pretty good, as long as highway 20 is open so you can get there. I suppose you were planning on hunting Glacier Peak?

They are saying anywhere from 60 to 80 percent chance of rain in Yakima both Saturday and Sunday.   I'm pretty sure it will rain n the hills.

A big problem may be smoke. I had to bag a scouting trip last weekend in the Alpine Lakes because the smoke was so low.

with all the closed areas, those areas that are open will be jam packed with folks.  Should be a fun hunt for those that are still planning on going.  Maybe with enough rain they will open things up again, but I wouldnt count on that if you are going on this hunt.

Yeah glacier peak was the plan but looking like henry m jackson might get our attention wit a slight possibility of checking out bake wilderness

Because at least ten thousand people probably just googled it.  Somewhere there is a guy who actually hunts there and they are now about to blow you up.
