He looks like he's in good shape to me! No ribs showing, lots of fat.  I don't think he'd die of it. Would be interesting to see him on the ground. He's big enough to make it worth it.

we had a horse a few years back that looked similar to this,It turned out it was a cancer in his sheath area(wiener),Im going with it being somewhat of the problem.Looks to be in that exact area.

Not sure where the pictures were taken but I know on the east side I've seen a few Deer with tumors as well. From what I've been told is when they eat sometimes they'll get "chee" grass lodged in they're throat or digestive track. It'll push the grass out, similar to the way of a "sliver".  Just a guess though.

Looks healthy, other than that, he has good antler growth. I've heard and seen if they have an injury, sometimes thier antlers will grow wierd. Any body else seen that before?
