Found these while deer hunting yesterday.
« on: September 09, 2015, 08:59:30 AM »
You shed boys missed a set.  They were about 2 feet apart and in overall great shape.  It is a very cool and unique set......Not to mention huge.  The boot in the picture is a size 12.  The goofy guy holding them to his head  :chuckle: :chuckle:  is 6' 260 lbs for size comparison.

Nice find. Now you need to find the guy that lost them.

I wonder how big he is this year?  Nice find.

I found a single BT forked antler Sunday while hunting.  Best part of the day.

I can't figure out if he is regressed or if has goofy genetics.....  Both sides are identical which leads me to the conclusion of being regressed.  He has big knobs at the base of the two and holes where the small third is started.   I will post better pics tomorrow.  I bet he was a huge 4x4 in his prime.

Either regressed or if there were holes in them, he got parasites in the antlers during velvet.  The way it is knobby at the juncture, I would bet it was parasites.  Cool find this late, must have been protected to some degree from the weather.

They seem to be new , kinda like that camo coat of fur , needs to be taken out of the heard , that kind of thing can spread,,,,,,I found a elk shead up north, and it was about that color also seemed to be new , I looked for signs of a struggle but nothing at all , I wonder why they loose them like that ?

Definitely not new....they were buried in the grass and well hidden under a big bushy tree.  They have a couple nibble marks from rodents.  They are sheds from this past season.
