looking at new scopes any ideas?

Ok I need help in finding a basic cross hairsand custom dail for a mid rang price. I shoot a 300 win mag hand loads 180gr NP. Looking for a new scope and I don't understand all the diffrances. Any info will hell. Leaning to Leupold or Vortex. Just want basic cross hairs no hold over ones.
Boar looking for Sow to hunt with. LOL

If you're settled on that load I might suggest having some custom dials cut, takes the brain work out of longer shots.

Leopold will do this on some models of scopes,  the VX-3 line of scopes comes with a free CDS coupon.

Cabelas had their VX3 CDS scopes on sale a few weeks back. They were clearing out all of the duplex reticles at about $100 off. They may still be on sale.

I think you can't go wrong with either Leupold or Vortex.  I've had/used several models of both over the years and have never been disappointed.  Good quality for the money and great warranties - I think you'll be pleased with either.

I don't like Vortex quality  :twocents:

I just shot my new Zeiss Conquest HD5 and it is incredible.

I can't recommend ziess until I figure out why mine goes black at certain temps and humidity levels.  Very annoying when you're at that mix while hunting and it keeps going black on you.

It's not a warm inside take it outside where it's cold deal, it does it all day long even when the scope is cold soaked.
