If you're settled on that load I might suggest having some custom dials cut, takes the brain work out of longer shots.

Leopold will do this on some models of scopes,  the VX-3 line of scopes comes with a free CDS coupon.

Cabelas had their VX3 CDS scopes on sale a few weeks back. They were clearing out all of the duplex reticles at about $100 off. They may still be on sale.

I think you can't go wrong with either Leupold or Vortex.  I've had/used several models of both over the years and have never been disappointed.  Good quality for the money and great warranties - I think you'll be pleased with either.

I don't like Vortex quality  :twocents:

I just shot my new Zeiss Conquest HD5 and it is incredible.

I can't recommend ziess until I figure out why mine goes black at certain temps and humidity levels.  Very annoying when you're at that mix while hunting and it keeps going black on you.

It's not a warm inside take it outside where it's cold deal, it does it all day long even when the scope is cold soaked.

this on a newer conquest

Send it back to Zeiss. They'll fix or replace it. Don't mess around with it.
