Elk quality in this year's thread
« on: September 23, 2015, 06:04:53 PM »
So far it seems to me like there is not as many posts in the 2015 Bulls thread as the 2014 and past. But all of them seem to be great quality in my opinion at least. I feel like in the past there would be quite a few smaller 3 and 4 points by now. Anyone else notice this? Better year? or just coincidence?

I think the complainers on here have caused many to not post.  I don't blame them.  Heck, many people have not talked about their tags - period.

This is, no doubt, a big issue on this forum. Sorry to say that.

This the exact reason I'm not posting my deer from this year. He is my biggest ever muley but after the crap I took from the elk a few years ago I don't post much anymore. I do like getting on here and reading  everyones success stories but I think with the way this forum is going we will see less and less.

IMO- Better to post than not to post. Who cares if people talk trash. That just means they are jealous and need to get off the keyboard and go out and hunt. There are a lot of know it all people on here that like to argue and split hairs on too many posts. Ruins the site..

I don't know about all of you but I really don't care if I get crap for my harvest.  Generally I am the only one who can critique myself!  I am the only one who knows how hard I worked and under what circumstances I had to endure to get my Elk, Deer or whatever.
So back on topic it may be that some people don't post pics of their harvest because they don't want the negativity but I say post them anyway.....I love looking at everyone's pictures and hearing their stories.

Who cares how big it is? With success rates in Wa being what they are, it's a big deal just to harvest a legal bull. Hunting is really a personal thing, if you take pride in what you do, are ethical, and are satisfied with your elk or deer, then don't worry about guys that try to ruin other hunters successful hunt.

Early archery elk season end today.  Most people aren't dying to post their pictures until after they get home.  I imagine we will see more in the days/week to follow.  Still a lot of elk hunting to happen this year.

It's too bad that people feel this way.  I understand why they feel that way but it's unfortunate that they let a minority of grumps stop them from sharing pictures with the rest of people.

I just got back from a 6 day 10 mile back archery elk trip.  Long story short I heard one elk bugle in 12 miles and 6 days.  I don't know if it's the summer or what.  I am blown away at how they weren't in the rut at all.  Cows were feeding by themselves.  I talked to some locals and they had the same experience.

why worry about what other people say on an internet forum? what is there to be afraid of? Look at bildo he lives for the drama on here, but nothing is going to come of it in the real world. Post your animals and boo hoo to the whiners and haters that don't post positive. I am sure that you can ask a moderator to delete anything you want on a thread you started.  :twocents:

Some people will say it was red-hot and some will say it was slow.  Many will observe this as an average year.

While I was unsuccessful this year (so far) I did get to listen to a large bull glunk like 300 times  :o then could see his antlers as he'd mount cows in the reprod.

I think it would be a pain for the admin's and you seem like a winnie if you complain.
